CE-KS3 French: All About Me - Topic Pack

The French All About Me pack is the first in the Common Entrance/KS3 French series to help your child to begin to learn the essentials to have a conversation in French in an engaging, interesting way. This pack covers a wide variety of content, ranging from family members to conversation practice for Common Entrance exams. Revised in September 2018 for the new CE syllabus, edited by Gill Cork, Chief French Setter for Common Entrance exams, this topic pack is endorsed by the ISEB (Independent Schools Examinations Board).

The numbered sections and colour illustrations make the Topic Booklet engaging yet simple to read. 

As well as an illustrated Topic Booklet, this pack also includes a Write Your Own Notes Booklet, with illustrations to match the Topic Booklet and blanks for children to fill in. The illustrations provide visual prompts help them recall information. The word banks (if needed) in the Write Your Own Notes booklet enable them to complete the task easily, giving a sense of achievement. 

Once they have completed the Write Your Own Notes booklet, they can use the Active Learning Game and Conversation Question Cards to see how much about French they can remember about this topic. The game can be used by small groups of children or the Q&A cards can be used as a quick quiz or for independent revision of the topic. This is ideal for extension work in the classroom or is a fun way to learn at home.

Using the three parts of this pack makes children recall information in three different ways which improves their long term memory. More importantly, they will find learning fun, their knowledge will improve and with it their motivation.
